Quality item!
I purchased this to use with my Nikon D300s. I had been using an IR device which was Ok, but only when close to the camera.
I was surprised to see how well made and how great this remote works.
I'm very pleased with this purchase and would "highly" recommend the WR-B100 Wireless Remote!
Tip: Don't waist your money on IR remote when you can get at lease 3 to 4 times the preformance with this wireless device.

I gave it a 3 star rating, because mine worked great for three months and then stopped. The battery was new (the factory battery didn't last long and had to be replaced). I took good care of the unit, so there wasn't any apparent reason for it to stop working---it gradually stopped over the course of a week.
Satechi very quickly replaced it! I haven't yet tried the replacement, but I'm assuming it will work fine fresh from the factory. How long it will last is the question.

Bought it based on the reviews here and I couldn't be happier with it! Didn't have any difficulty plugging it into the 10 pin socket on my D300, it went in smoothly. The transmitter is very light & small and I attached the receiver to my tripod leg with a velcro strap, tip from some of the reviewers here (Thank you!). I was able to focus my lens & take a picture from another room. And taking pics of objects that are a little to close to my lens, micro shots, my lens wants to go in and out searching and I have to disable the auto-focus or put it on manual, but with this, I can adjust the focus by hand and take the photo with the remote and it stops the lens from searching. Pictures are coming out tack sharp and it's super easy to use.

If you have any one of the cameras for which this unit is made, GET IT!! You WON'T be disappointed. I purchased it for my Nikon F5. It has an excellent range, works flawlessly/perfectly. It is well-made, light, etc. Like any other piece of camera equipment you own, it makes the process easier/more convenient. Take care of it properly. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. No fuss. The price is excellent for what this product is designed to do. It is less expensive and, in my opinion, made at least as well, if not better, than the original equipment counterpart.
I bought a Satechi LCD-enhanced, vertical battery grip for my Nikon D90 camera a year ago. It, too, works perfectly and efficiently; plus, it has more features and flexibility than the original equipment. Additionally, it was significantly less expensive, yet better built, than the original equipment counterpart.
Satechi is 2 for 2! These two items which I purchased were well-constructed and very fairly priced. So far, they have proved to be durable, useful and dependable. What more could you possibly want from a product? If you need/want it, then look no further. GET IT!! You'll be happy you did.
