Yes it is swivel and rotate portrait and landscape view, also bends at the hinges.
Total length of the cradle is around 5.5 inches and diameter of smart pad is 2.9 inches.(end to end)

- Great product for a road warrior. This phone holder is a great product, easy to set up and the suction device works well. The only wish is that a telescopic feature would be welcomed. The phone holder is a great robust design and easy to adjust.

- Easy to install and looks great I mounted this upside down, underneath my dash/console and it works great. Suction is very strong and does not come loose. I have an Otter Box case on my iPhone 4s and it fits in the holder perfectly. I was worried it would be loose or that it would rub up against the volume buttons, but that doesn't occur.

- Literally the best car holder I have bought When I bought this car holder, it only fit the iPhone 3GS because that was the newest phone back then. After I got the iPhone 4S, it fit inside it so I didn't buy a new one. Now I have the iPhone 5 and it is very thin so it slips out of the holder itself. Then I came back to Satechi because I was looking for a new holder and I found this universal one. It also works with cases so I won't have to worry about getting another holder for a very long time because of the build quality. This holder also doesn't vibrate which would make the screen impossible to read like some other holders. This holder keeps the phone still throughout the entire car ride so I can easily glance over to see my iPhone with the NAVIGON app on it and look back onto the road. I definitely recommend this holder. My last one from Satechi is still working to this day and I never had any problems with it.
