Satechi USB Surge Protector provides protection from electrical spikes and surges that can be devastating to both expensive electronic equipment and valuable data. It includes a single power outlet and additional USB charging port that delivers enough power to charge most devices including the Kindle Fire, iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S3, and various other tablets or smartphones. The LED indicator near the top of the unit illuminates green to indicate when the surge protector is providing sufficient protection to your equipment. When the protection circuitry has been fully consumed by power and current spikes, this LED light will no longer illuminate, indicating that the surge protector should be replaced.

- Great product but Green? What an innovative idea! I bought 4 - one for my granddaughter, two for me, and one for my husband. I travel for business and welcome having an outlet that serves two purposes while also providing an additional charging option. But does it have to be green? I would welcome a choice of colors, with a couple of neutral ones that don't clash with my color scheme. The outlet sticks out like a sore thumb in my office.

- Attractive USB Power Port ffor travel or the office! If you have a smartphone, you probably have to charge it wherever and whenever you can. This attractive USB AC adapter delivers a safe 1 amp of power to charge any Android or Apple phone (and some tablets - results will vary). I got one for my office. But this is small enough to be used as a travel adapter. Plus it has a passthrough 3-prong AC outlet to let you connect other chargers for other devices. This one's a winner.
