i read a review that said this could not be plugged into a wall charger that supplied more than 0.5 amp. Is that true? Does it harm the unit if you use a wall charger that supplies 1 amp of power?

This review is correct. You should not plug the iCel into a wall charger with more than 0.5 amp. It will risk damaging the unit if used with a 1 amp charger.

My white satechi battery charger is not charging my iPhone 4s. It's charged and all the green lights are on . I plug it in and the battery charging symbol does appear on my phone . It recognises that something is plugged in . In fact it looks like it is discharging my phone .

We are very sorry for this inconvenience but unfortunately this battery charger is not compatible with the 4s (just the 4.) We would like to replace it with our other battery charger that is fully compatible with your iPhone 4s. The product I'm referring to is our Portable Energy Station and is less costly than the iCel so we can refund you the price difference as well.

Very Disappointed
....that I did not buy another to keep in my briefcase. The iCel 5200 mAh is fantastic and works like a charm. My iPhone is able to have a slim case on it, which is very portable rather than a big, bulky battery case. If you are thinking about buying this product, just do yourself a favor and reach into your pocket, pull out the plastic, and enjoy it once it arrives, which by the way, is extremely fast.
If you notice my con, I am just being picky. With today's technology, I guess I am expecting too much. The iCel is great in a bag or probably even a purse, but a guy could not just throw it in his pocket. If a thumb drive size unit is released, then I would be extremely satisfied. Again, I am just being picky. Great unit, nonetheless! - Khaliq

Cold or not fully charged?
I receive it last friday, test in home ok at saturday, I charge my iphone 3GS twice.
But at Sunday morning only recharge 3 leds, Change to original apple charger and I get one led more.
I went to the mountains to make a 4 hours march & clim and when I reach the summit and my iphone was 6% put the charger and don´t work. I took a long time to got 18% was not enough to finish recording the GPS & photos - Tarun
