ATTENTION: Due to issues with new iPhone 5 and iPad Mini Bluetooth chipsets, some Smart Trigger users may experience connection issues. To alleviate these issues, restart your iOS device once the Smart Trigger has been paired.

The Smart Trigger is a fully functional wireless timer remote designed to be controlled from your iPhone, iPad, or compatible Android device. Use the Smart Trigger app to control your DSLR camera with three unique shooting modes.

    Smart Trigger App

Use all of the Smart Trigger's features straight from the app – easily manage your DSLR camera from your iPhone, iPad, or compatible Android device.

    Regular Shot

This mode allows your smart phone to act as a wireless shutter. Touch the shutter control button to capture a picture – perfect for including the photographer in group shots!

    Bluetooth Smart

The Smart Trigger uses advanced Bluetooth 4.0 technology, including low-energy BLE. With a wireless range of 50 feet and an idle battery life of 2 to 10 years, the Smart Trigger is the perfect companion for your smart phone and DSLR camera.

    Manual Shot

Manual Shot allows you to take long exposures while in bulb mode. This mode includes a switch that will lock the shutter open; use Manual Shot for photographic techniques like star trails and light painting.

    Small Package, Big Features

Photography accessories are typically big on space – thankfully, the Smart Trigger's compact, lightweight receiver and cable means it can be comfortably taken anywhere.

    Timed Shot

Timed Shot mode turns your mobile device into an intervalometer. Fine-tune your timer settings and use this mode to perform advanced photography techniques like time-lapses.

Does all it says it does in a smart package! A great little package with an attractive price point!

Good construction and the device screws on nicely on the hotshoe mount. Quality of the receiver seems good. Easy to understand manual!

The iPhone app works flawlessly together with the receiver, no lag or "misfires" using the remote. Especially like the counter showing time when the shutter lock is enabled. Timed and intrval mode works perfect as well.

Overall very pleased with this product so far!

Looking forward to the Android app as well as this is my primary phone.

It works well. I have a canon wired shutter release. I love it, but I worry about the long cable, and having someone trip over the cable, and drag my camera to the ground, breaking things that cost too much to replace.

SOLVED! The Satechi Bluetooth Smart Trigger for my Canon 5D Mark II fixed that problem for me. It works well and I love it.

However, I would really love being able to plug my Canon Wired trigger into my iPhone, and use that to trip the Satechi iPhone Application, which then would trigger the Camera. … I like the feel of the canon trigger in my hand much more than holding the iPhone.

Excellent wireless shutter that works perfectly I’ve been using a no name brand intervalometer that admittedly was cheap, but the worst part was that the timing was off! I would set it for intervals of 10 seconds and the first shots would be at 10 seconds, but then they would be all over the place at 10.06, 9.90, 10.11, etc. Sure, not that big of a difference, but when you buy something, you expect it to work the way it states. This one isn’t very expensive either, so I had some reservations about it, but it’s been working great and best of all, the timing is perfect.
