Wireless RF (radio frequency) remote control features maximum operating range 100m. Compared to an infrared (IR) remote control, it allows you to operate the shutter from either direction / angle. It supports unique coding for anti-interference and avoiding wrong operation. 3 operations modes: At W mode, the receiver is active, you can use the transmitter to control the shutter or focus. At O mode, the receiver will be a normal remote switch, and it will not consume any power. At L mode, the receiver will lock the shutter for long exposure.

Hardware Diagnostics
1. Switch the receiver from off mode (O) to wireless mode (W).
2. As soon as you make the switch, at the back of the receiver you should see any of the 5 battery indicator led turn to green. If there is no green light, you need to charge the receiver.
3. On W mode, press the shutter button on the remote transmitter. You should see a red light on the remote transmitter and blue light on the receiver. If you don’t see these, there is a problem with the connection.

I ordered the Satechi WR-B100 wireless remote control for my Nikon. I did not receive a manual or a battery for the transmitter. I have looked everywhere for the size/type of battery that fits in the transmitter and the information is nowhere! What size battery am I supposed to purchase tout in it.
