I did pair the iPhone with other devices as well.

When I plug the USB charging cord into my macbook, the devices charges ok, however I cannot get the Macbook Air to recognize the device as a wired audio device. Is it possible to plug my device in to charge and also use it as a wired audio device?

I assume you are using the cable at the bottom of the device to plug into your Macbook’s headphone jack, correct? Have you tried setting the speaker to line mode by tapping the mode button twice (or until the blue light is solid?) If the blue light is blinking (it’s in Bluetooth mode) it will not be recognized as a wired device. You should be able to charge the device while outputting audio as well.

This can be done by “daisy chaining” one (set in cable mode) to the other (set in bluetooth mode) by connecting the audio cable under the cable mode speaker to the buddy jack of the Bluetooth mode speaker. When connecting devices to the 3.5mm cable under the speaker, you will need to change the mode by double pressing the mode button (indicated by a solid blue light). If the blue light is still blinking, you will need to keep pressing the mode button until the blue light turns solid. Try double clicking it (a few times if unsuccessful the first time) like you would a mouse.

This might be due to your computer using a Broadcom Bluetooth chipset. Please try to update it here:

- Like what I hear and see It's a smart look and the sound is great, better than the phone itself. I like this for when I am at work on the computer. What a great gadget.

Like the product but can be improved
I am an engineer by profession and using this product for the first time was really good.It is not compatible for some of the flash players used by radio stations. Moreover, the power on/off and switching between tracks on laptop is not that user-friendly.The buttons need to be better than the existing configuration.
I hope Satechi will work on improving its product. - Dr. Montaño

- Pretty, practical, good functions but volume is too low Although it is a very small speaker, the maximum volume is just too low. It is very nice and has excelent features and functions, but would be of use only in quiet settings and relatively small spaces.

- Excellent Product The product has been designed very well. The functionality is packed in a small form factor. The quality of the sound for all types of music is excellent. The BT works flawlessly and a\uou get an interupted playing of 4 to 5 hours between charges. The prodcut is just fantastic.

- Very Nice Sound In A Small PAckage This little speaker is awesome for its size and price. I have another wireless bluetooth speaker costing more but, not even coming close to the sound. Very nice product and blows the iphone speaker and anything else in this price range away.

- Great product. I love this. When I first got it, the high volume sound was garbled. Touching the attached mini plug cleared up the sound. I wrapped it in foil and stored it under the unit. Now it plays beautifully.

- This little speaker is awesome!!!! Received as a gift, had never heard of it, but absolutely love it. Everyone that sees it wants to know who makes it and where to get, but I can never remember the name. So I just bought a dozen more, so when they are wowed and ask......I'll just sell them one on the spot and believe me, it will be an easy sell!!

Cool little BT speaker for travelers
I received this speaker for Christmas and have been very pleased. It was a snap to pair with both my Droid Charge and Macbook Air. The sound is reasonable for the size of the speaker and the fact that it is bluetooth is an added bonus. No wires and lots of flexibility. You are not gonna crank it up and have a rave with it, but it gets plenty loud for your phone or laptop. Sound is slightly tinny and bass is limited but come on, it is a 1 1/2" speaker.
A really cool option is that you can plug any other speaker or headphone set into it via the 1/8" jack and turn the speakers/headphones into bluetooth speakers/headphones. The speaker doesn't turn its audio off however for headphones you can turn the audio down so low that it isn't a problem...unless you need pure silence.
I travel a lot and this is great for the hotel, client's office, or cubicle/office space back home. Also, the carrying case is padded, seems sturdy, has a nice drawstring cord, and the charging cable comes with a velcro cord wrap! ...very nice touches to a nice product. - John

- Teeny tiny speaker, pretty big sound I was very impressed with the sound quality of this little sucker. It is so tiny, when I saw it I thought it was going to be horrible. I was pleasantly surprised. Connecting via bluetooth isn't the easiest but once I understood that it really DOES have to be within 8 inches of your device to connect (even though the range is much larger once connected) it went a lot smoother. Great product. I had never heard of the brand before but I will keep this company in mind for future purchases. I am very satisfied.
