Great unit Because our cigarette lighter was down and behind the gear stick i thought it may suffer quality, it didn't.
Sound quality is better than the system on our Audi TT!!
It was very quick to setup and worked first time.
The USB port is terrific to charge the phone or use it in our GPS navigator.
    Thanks for a great product.

Good quality and performance The attention to quality craftsmanship is evident in this product. It feels like it is made well and fits your car as if is supposed to be a factory feature. As far as FM Transmitters go this unit ranks high. A transmitter connection will never be perfect, but this is as close as I've heard anything come. I just wish it had an on/off button.

Nice Device Works as promised. Effortless Bluetooth link to my iPhone. There's a constant low-level whistle in the background which, if I turn the volume all the way up on the phone, is masked by engine and road noise. This adapter will work fine for my primary purpose which is to stream audio books through the car radio speakers.

Simplicity Itself This little unit makes it easy to turn your old car stereo into a modern integrated handsfree entertainment and communication device. With a minimum of controls and no wires necessary, anyone who understands how their mobile phone works will be able to set this up in about 1 minute.

The only negative I have experienced so far is that when streaming music from an iphone via bluetooth to the unit, it only comes out of one speaker. I think this is because the iphone assumes it is a handsfree headset and only sends a signal on one channel. I haven't been able to work out how to get the iphone to stream in stereo yet, but it works perfectly when connected via the included cable, so I can live with that.

Great product, this is my second unit I purchased this unit two years ago for one of my vehicles which is now being used by a family member. The second unit is for me... it works great, is simple to use and is of high quality. I purchased a competitive unit two weeks prior because I wanted a USB charging port, but I tossed it in the trash loosing $45.00 after being offended by the poor quality of the unit. I later found that Satechi had added the USB port to this unit, so I purchased it immediately.

Just buy it! I use this Satechi both in my car, and in my RV...it works great on trips, and I listen to my own music that is on my phone, an Optimus V, with Android operating system. I have enjoyed it so much that I have family members that were so impressed that they have purchased them also. I just purchased a second transmitter for a good friend after he heard mine, and said he had to have one! I am very well pleased with this product, and recommend it! Just buy it! You'll be pleased!

Does the job it is supposed to do. It's hard to find a solution for streaming music in a car not equipped with an auxiliary port and without bluetooth capability. This device does both. The set up is simple. Will work with iPhone, but currently used with iPod. Occasionally have to switch FM frequency but not a problem. It does what it is supposed to do.

awesome I never review products but I just had to let people know how great this works. After dealing with the itrip and soo much static for far too long I got this for Christmas and I can't believe what I have been living without. The music is so clear and the bluetooth works awesome with my iPhone. I love it!

Great This works as advertized. The item shipped quickly and they demonstrated excellent customer service. I haven't had the device long enough to determine its durability over a long period of time, so I cannot comment on this aspect of the device in response to other reviews.

Met my expectations, I purchased this unit primarily as a means to get music playing from my Samsung Galaxy Nexus through my car radio. The bluetooth functionality and ability to use the unit to make phone calls was only an added bonus.

The biggest draw to this unit for me was the sheer number of options I would have to hook it up. In addition to the bluetooth link and FM transmitter, there are two 3.5mm jacks, one for accepting audio from your phone or MP3 player, and another to send audio from the unit to the auxiliary in jack on your radio. If you're unhappy with the sound quality over bluetooth or FM, you can bypass one or both of them. There is also a powered USB port which I can use to charge my phone as well.

As I have no AUX port on my radio, I'm using this over FM all the time with the 3.5mm connecting the unit to the headphone jack on my phone. The sound quality is very good, and the FM transmitter seems to be much stronger than the one in the Griffin RoadTrip II I am replacing. I was able to make a 3-hour drive without having to change the station. Maybe I just got lucky, but I was impressed.

I tried sending music over Bluetooth as well and it was much clearer than I would have hoped for, although a bit quieter which forced me to turn my radio up higher making a small amount of static noticeable during quiet parts. It certainly isn't bad, but as is to be expected the audio is just a bit better using the 3.5mm so thats the way I'll continue to use it.

I've made one phone call through the unit so far. The other party's voice was coming loud and clear through my radio. They said I was a bit quiet but they could hear me. I don't make a lot of calls on the road but it's good enough for occasional use.

All in all I couldn't ask for much more out of this unit and recommend it!

buy this thing!, this is hands down, one of the best products i have bought in the past five years. it integrates so beautifully with my iPhone, and is far superior(and cheaper) than any other fm transmitter I've purchased! between the great audio quality and its low-profileness, this is a great buy. don't hem and haw, just get it.

Very good at what it does I read the reviews, checked out other cheaper devices, and even shopped locally. I bought this because I wanted to not only make calls, but listen to music while driving. This transmitter does exactly what it is supposed to do with very little setup. I didn't have to put in a PIN on my phone, Galaxy S II Epic, and it pairs on its own when I get in the car. I read another review that said the display was too bright. I really think the other lights in my car are brighter, I'll post a night picture. Don't let that review bum you out, this isn't going to blind you while driving. The calls that I made were pretty clear in my Trailblazer's stock speakers, the person on the other end didn't know they were on a bluetooth speaker call at all. I've used other bluetooth headsets that made me sound like I was in a long hallway, this one didn't. I live in a pretty big area with lots of radio stations, so finding that "sweet" spot on the dial will take some work, but so far the low 88's are working good for me. This is one of the more expensive transmitters that I found, but you really do get a quality product. Shipping was really fast. I ordered it on a Friday afternoon, got it USPS on Tuesday. I wasn't expecting it for at least a week with ground shipping. I would recommend this to anyone looking to either make calls or stream music while driving. It does both, very well.

Pros: Easy setup, simple to figure out without the instruction book. The book comes with it, but I didn't need it.
Easy on the eyes, doesn't distract from driving
Clear calls, CD quality music from my phone. (Pandora, Google streaming, local mp3)
Lots of stations to choose from to get a clear broadcast

Cons: No power button to shut the light off when not using, kinda draws attention if someone were to pass by the car while
it is parked, you'll want to unplug it and stash it somewhere safe.
Plugging it in was kind of tight, but I think it will loosen over time. Gotta unplug it when I leave the car and
hide it, or spin it face down.
Price is high. If it didn't work, I would have returned it in a heartbeat. (I hate cheap stuff that doesn't work)

awesome! This product is wonderful!! I read through many reviews when looking for an FM Transmitter so that I would be able to listen to my purchased Itunes through my Iphone 4S in my car, and decided on this one. SO HAPPY I DID!! I know there are others that are less expensive but I'm telling you if you want a solid product, this is it. Sound is as crisp as listening to a CD. Bluetooth works very well too. Pretty much no set up required other than plugging the device into the lighter and your phone into the device. That's it!Device scans automatically to find the best station. (Be sure you car radio is set to the one on the scanner) I'm so happy with this I'm getting another :)...for my other car.
